Privacy

When you use the contact form, the name, email address and message you provide are stored in our database and sent by email to Stanis Zichler's team. A copy is sent to you. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry. It is not shared with third parties and is not used for marketing. Data is stored on infrastructure provided by Supabase and Lovable, and email is delivered through Lovable's email infrastructure. Enquiries are automatically deleted 24 months after they are received. You can request earlier deletion at any time by writing to contact@staniszichler.com. When you use the share buttons on an article, we record which article and which platform was chosen. An anonymised hash of your IP address is stored temporarily to guard against abuse and is deleted automatically after 7 days. No other personal data is stored with this. We record which pages are viewed on this site, using a random identifier that is stored only for the duration of your browser session and is deleted when you close the tab. We do not store IP addresses, browser details or any information that identifies you, and we do not track you across visits or across other websites. We also record the two-letter country code that our hosting provider derives from your connection. We do not store the IP address it is derived from, and a country code alone does not identify you. This data is deleted automatically after 24 months.

If you subscribe to journal updates, we store your email address in our database. We send you a confirmation email first, and your address is only added to the list once you confirm it. We use it solely to notify you when a new journal entry is published, and we never share it with third parties. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove your address at any time by writing to contact@staniszichler.com. Addresses that are never confirmed are deleted automatically after 30 days.
