Leadership
Discipline is a system, not a mood

What the army taught me about performance: motivation is optional, structure is not.
In the military nobody asks whether you feel like it. There is a task, a time, and a standard. You meet the standard. That single idea carried me through every difficult year in business afterwards.
People assume discipline is intensity. It is the opposite — it is lowering the emotional volume until the work becomes ordinary. Ordinary is repeatable. Repeatable compounds.
If you are trying to rebuild after a hard period, do not start with ambition. Start with a schedule you can keep on your worst day.
